Team analysis: The Terriers were amazing during the 2016-2017 season. Newark Tech was dominant in conference and county play, nabbing a 12-0 undefeated record in the SEC American. They also won the ECT in OT against West Orange.
Sadly, (in large part due to NJ P.O.Y. Dara Mabrey) NT took a heartbreaking loss to Manasquan in the Semifinal round in the Group 2 tournament.
While last year ended with a sad note, NT is prepared to have the last laugh this year. The Terriers are returning 4 of it’s 5 top scorers from last year. First Team All-Group 2 Abbey Lawrence is back at the helm as well. While this may not be a team that pulls major press when TOC talks begin this year, the Terriers have the depth, playoff experience and talent to go all the way.
