Team analysis: While All-State guard Ja'Quaye James is back, Teaneck has lost a nice bit of depth due to graduation. Their aggressive pressing style of play demands depth. Only time will tell if the new role players can hold their weight, which will allow them to maintain their style of play. Seniors Corey Gordon and Jayden Dawson have been apart of this program and knows what it takes to win close games. Look for Coach Smart to lean on his senior leaders early and often this year. One of the wildcards for this team is Nadame Tucker. Many basketball enthusiasts are raving about this kids skill set. Look for Tucker to have a big role in this team's success in 2018.
Even with the loss of some key role players, Group 3 as a whole has lost a lot of talent, which should allow Teaneck to make a deep run again this year. With Ja'Quaye James still at the helm, this team has what it take to hoist the Group 3 trophy again come March.
