Why they’re on the list: Good things take time. The high school basketball journey for Lou King started out a bit wobbly. For his first two years, King played at Roselle Catholic and Pope John. While Kings’ talent was undeniable , it seemed as if he couldn’t seem to find the right situation that allowed him to showcase his skills on the highest level.
Midway through his sophomore year, King transferred to Hudson Catholic. From day one, it was clear they were a perfect match. Defensively, he showed that he could guard multiple positions with ease. Offensively, he showed a polished skill set in the half court and creativity in transition.
His hard work in the offseason paid off big time, as King signed with The University of Oregon. With that out of the way, Louis will be focused on bringing a state title to Hudson Catholic. Things may have seemed a bit murky when he came to Hudson, but two years later it’s clear he made the right choice.
Trust the process.
Stat to know: Lou was apart of the infamous Sports U “Fab Five” team.
