Power 25: Bourama Sidibe

By Justinn Delaney (@AirJustinn)

Player: Bourama Sidibe

Team: St. Benedicts Prepatory School (Newark, NJ)

Stats: 13 points, 11 rebounds per game in ‘15-’16

What to expect: With the graduation of James Scott,Arnaldo Toro and the departure of David Beatty to Imhotep (PA), Bourama Sidibe finds himself as the elder statesman of a heralded St. Benedicts basketball program.

The multi-dimensional senior F/C distinguished himself from his peers on the AAU circuit this past spring with WeR1 as he captured 17U gold alongside Trevon Duval on a championship run at the Under Armour finals; he will look to translate that experience and  carry that tone into his senior high school season.

Standing at 6-foot-11, Sidibe IS arguably one of the most versatile talents in the state of New Jersey this year.  His wiry frame and long wingspan will allow him to deter opposing teams from the paint, while his jumping ability and face-up 15-footer will make him a threat in both the half and open court.

Stat to know: Sidibe, a native of Mali went from unranked last spring to ESPN.com now ranking him as the No. 82 player in his class (#2 in New Jersey).

UPDATE: Sidibe recently committed to play for Jim Boeheim's Syracuse Orangemen
