Team: Christian Brothers Academy (Lincroft, NJ)
Ranking: 23
Record Last season: 22-6, 13-1 in conference play
Team analysis: While CBA graduates a ton of upperclassmen, (which include all-state forward Pat Andree,) this team is known to develop talent better than many schools in the Shore conference. They are the cream of the crop in the shore for good reason, as they do the right things, the right way, all the time on the court. The culture they have established there will allow this team to knock off plenty of teams this year.
While the parts may have changed the driver of the vehicle has stayed the same. CBA will be extremely efficient on offense and defend at a high level. They play an extremely disciplined style of basketball. Due to their steady offensive approach and willingness to rebound at a high level on both sides of the floor, CBA is normally one of the hardest teams to beat in the shore. I’m excited to see what new stars come to the forefront this year at CBA.
Stat to know: CBA was 13-1 in conference play in 2016. With a majority of the teams in conference losing a lot of talent due to graduation, CBA could push this year to be undefeated in conference play in 2017.
