Immaculate Conception star and Louisville commit TJ Robinson has made a statement in his return to New Jersey for his junior year. With Robinson averaging 22 points per game so far for the Lions, he is further proving why he is not only one of the best players in the state, but also one of the best guards in the country.
With big games like scoring 50 points against Dwight Englewood and 31 points against Roselle Catholic under Robinson’s belt, no other accomplishment could compare to reaching the goal of 1000 points as a high school player. With this feat, Robinson joins some pretty big names that were able to share the same journey as him.
“Being a part of IC’s history with names like Zakai Zeigler and Jalen Carey is amazing.“ Robinson expressed. “I am very grateful for being able to play for a coach like Jimmy Salmons, who has coached so many great players in his own right. He plays a crucial role in my development as I go on with my basketball career.”

Not only was scoring a 1000 points exciting for Robinson, but he also had the opportunity to do it in front of his family. Robinson’s mother, father, and step-mother were there to watch Robinson achieve his feat.
“Having my mom come down from Delaware and share the moment with me, my dad, and my step mom was amazing. I knew scoring 1000 was coming so to have my family with me is something I will never forget,” Robinson said.
Now that this feat is accomplished, Robinson is looking forward to going far into the playoffs and more importantly, county championships.
“Winning the county championship is number one on my list right now,” Robinson said. “My team and I are locked in and we look forward to working hard to make sure that it happens.”
Whatever happens, Robinson is proving why he will be a future Cardinal. Look out for Robinsom in the future as he continues to put on a show.
